Not likely: Hpv is generally spread by close contact such as sexual intercourse.  It is not spread simply by sleeping on the same sheets as someone with the virus, or from sharing a drink.

Never heard of it: I have never ever heard of a case of transmission of hpv from such casual contact as viral shedding on linens and then contact with that. Hpv does not live off the body well, so the likelihood that you are going to infect yourself just sleeping on sheets she has slept on in my mind is right next to zero. It's the old you don't catch std's from toilet seats - you need more intimate contact.

Unlikely, but... : A 1997 study in the journal of infectious disease demonstrated that hpv-16 showed 100%, 50%, and 30% of infectivity when dehydrated on a surface for 1, 3, and 7 days, respectively, at room temperature. But the real-world transmissibility of  genital hpv when present on fomites such as towels, underwear, or gloves is unknown. I would be conservative, and take precautions to avoid trasmission.

: The HPV strains responsible for genital warts as well as other issues are not passed like common germs. The reason it is a STD is it is from some form of sexual contact. Direct skin to skin transfer is the rule.

: HPV is not passed like a staph or strep germ might by casual contact. Genital strains are passed by genital to genital contact and seem to require a mechanical event for transfer. The genital strains do not cause simple skin warts in other areas. Enjoy your kids and don't consider tis an issue.

No risk, no worry: Nobody ever transmits genital herpes or HPV except by sex. They cannot be caught by the sorts of contacts you describe, whether or not you wash your hands.

HPV is a Virus: Nothing causes hpv. Hpv is human papilloma virus.  The virus is usually benign in humans.  96% of humans are exposed to at least one strain by the time they are 26. There is now  vaccine to prevent cancer covering four of the strains that cause cervical or rectal or throat cancer in humans.
