MRI is the best test: A physical exam by a specialized physician should be the first place to start. The history and knowledge of the anatomy at the injured location will give many clues that aid in arriving at the correct diagnosis. An MRI is currently the best test to demonstrate both a bone bruise and soft tissue injuries. X-rays demonstrate fractures, but not bone bruising, often termed a 
"microfracture.".

: Injury to the bone is almost always accompanied by injury to soft tissue is thus generally worse.

Not terribly severe: A non displaced weber b fracture is not very severe. I'm not sure why an MRI was ordered to evaluate. Many times when we order an mri, because they are so sensitive, we don't always know how to interpret there results. Everyone with your injury could have the same soft tissue injury, but we don't know because we don't order mris on many weber b ankle fractures.

wearing brace at work and ace bandage at home with ice. how serious is this injury? how should i take care of it? constantly using my hand?

Continue/time: It sounds like you are doing the right things.  If it is indeed just bruised, then using it/working will not make things worse (which is not the case for a fracture or torn ligaments) but it may just take longer to become pain free

daily pain in knee 12months post injury. painful clicking, knee feels stuck occasionally and pain with squatting/stairs and sometimes walking. mri was negative for meniscus tear but showed bone bruise and 1st degree mcl tear. what should i do?

Brace and PT: Having a positive MRI for MCL tear, where the meniscus inserts, suggests a disruption to the operation of knee joint until healing occurs. You may be complicating that with certain movements. Ask you doc for a course of physical therapy to strengthen the muscles which stabilize the knee and learn ergonomically correct movements. A brace may help to limit excess motion, and NSAIDs topical/oral too.

what would be causing  bone bruise to continue to cause mild pain swelling numbness in other parts of the leg a year after injury?

You need an X-ray: to be sure there's not something going on in the bone other than a bruise.  This could be serious.  Good luck

Weeks: A bone bruise can take several weeks, up to 6 - 8 weeks to heal.  I would avoid sports for 1 - 2 weeks, then gradually resume, and back off again if symptoms return.  Good luck!

12/2019 mri dislocated patella, bone bruise on the femur and patella, mpfl damage, mild meniscus tears (dance injury). returned to swim too soon, but then rested w pt for 9wks. now medial pain/snap when swim/run, shaky for 1 leg squats. is this bad?

Reevaluate : Sounds like the return to acitivity was too soon and the signs with activity and squats now suggest a re-evaluation with your rehabilitation team, whether that’s your orthopedist or physical therapist.

tv fell on leg and slid down shin bone. was told it was a bruised bone. now i have a hard movable lump in area that feels like scar tissue? normal?

Lump: A lump secondary to trauma that is mobile is unlikely connected to bone. There has likely been damage to the tissue just under the skin, called subcutaneous fat. It often takes weeks for this to resolve. All the best.

Ice Elevate: And do not allow shoes to compress the area. Wear a sandel.
