Acne: Dove soap will not make your face break out. If you have the tendency for acne washing with dove will not prevent your face from breaking out.  Acne is not due to dirty skin.  It is due in part to bacterial inflammation of blocked sebaceous gland ducts. See your doctor or dermatologist to prevent acne so that you are not left with scars.

Oil isn't the key: Apply topical benzoyl peroxide, strength and frequency as tolerated. If you are not clear in two weeks, phone your physician who can add something that will clear you. Best wishes.

Benzoyl peroxide: For treatment of acne, over-the-counter 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel or cream can be quite helpful. An "acne wash" is not needed. If desired, a doctor can add an antibiotic gel or cream such as Cleocin (clindamycin) gel. If more help is needed, prescription retinoids such as Retin-A or Differin gel may be used instead of benzoyl peroxide. It can take 3 weeks to 3 months in order to see improvements.

Depends on oiliness: Skin needs oil to stay soft and waterproof (water resistant). Otherwise, eczema rashes with dry, flaky, crackly skin will start forming. Washing in the morning and at bedtime is fine to do. Not washing one's face will lead to an oily face, but should not cause any medical problems. Using facial scrubs or facial brushes is ok to do, but excess scrubbing will irritate skin and cause rashes.

Boils, cystic acne: There are conditions of the face which can cause eruptions similar to those about which you speak, but your question strongly suggests one called cystic acne. It’s possible for this to be very nicely cleared if you see it physician or dermatologist. Do not let this go and produce Scars which will be there for your life, but see your doctor now!
