Hyperpigmentation: Waxing of any sort can cause inflammation, which in turn can cause hyper pigmentation, especially in darker skin types.  Laser hair removal is a better option, you get less ingrown hairs, less chronic inflammation.  Hyper pigmentation can be treated with a combination of steroids and bleaching creams.

"Hot" wax treatment: I am very  sorry that your wax treatment has turned "hot" and feels like the candle flame instead. Medically, the skin of the vulva, hair follicles, and perineum have been "injured" as the hair  was  removed. Your first step is to see a GYN MD before a possible secondary infection sets in. In the interim, the pain can be addressed by sitting in a hot bath and using ibuprofen temporarily.

: There is a good chance that the VEET wax strip took off a layer or two of the skin cells. The darkened color indicates healing. It should take another few weeks and that area will be back to normal as the healing skin cells come to the surface and healthy cells are revealed.
