Implantation: Midcycle spotting is common but more likely from ovulation than implantation. Implantation occurs exclusively in pregnant people. You can check a test if you miss your period. If negative then the bleeding is not implantation bleeding. Progesterone may regulate the cycle but does not promote ovulation or assist in fertility.

Implantation?: Hi Shawn,

It seems as though you took the ovulation induction regimen correctly.  I would expect you to have ovulated day 14-15.  That means that if fertilization occurred then implantation would  occur about day 21-22.  Some women experience implantation spotting.  So the notice of dark brown spotting is not unusual.

bbt chart flat, progesterone level tested on cd21 was 9.7ng/ml, also i had a lh surge in cd9, was there an ovulation? any risk of weak implantation?

Doubt Ovulation...: Your BBT and Progesterone indicate that you probably didn't ovulate.  The Progesterone level should be over 10 if you ovulate and your BBT should show a temperature rise.  Cycle day 9 is pretty early to surge, though not impossible.  If you really are surging on CD 9, you may need to adjust when you get the Progesterone level done.   Check a pregnancy test around cycle day 30 if no period.

can i take 200 mg prometrium (micronized progesterone) vaginally 5 dpo? will vaginal insetion cause any harm to implantation or otherwise?

You can: Prometrium (micronized progesterone) may be used vaginally instead of orally, it's absorbed well. It is not in any way dangerous as long as you are gentle in the insertion. Whatever is ay though, you should follow your own doctor's instructions and not change them based on online advice. best wishes.

its my 14dp2d fet. so far i have no symptoms except extremely mild cramps very rarely. i am on progesterone suppositories & est patches. my bhcg has been scheduled on 8th mar. does that mean implantation failed? its my 3rd fet & prior 2 were failed?

: Unfortunately, many fetal embryo transfer attempts are unsuccessful. Information provided is appropriate for following possible successful implantation.  The HCG level will confirm same, and the level of HCG will indicate (if positive) the relative progress of the incipient pregnancy. In theory: it could, but in fact its  far more likely your period starting. A pregnancy test in the next day or two will confirm this one was or another, good luck!

Either: The bleeding could be due to either. If pregnant, a pregnancy test would be positive now, so you could get one to see. You don't say why you are on the progesterone...Would be helpful to know.
