i have had impetigos for a while and have been given fucidin h for it and today and yesterday i have had these bumps on my penis which are itchy and look like impetigos but not fully and i want to know do i apply the fucidin cream prescribed to me?

: I would prefer to have a dermatologist or urologist examine &amp; advise you. These bumps may be hpv, fungal or herpes infections for which other treatment is indicated.  Mention any risky sexual behavior at your visit.

i have some red rash on under of glans penis and it's happened in 2 or 3 days ago and can i apply fucidin (fusidic acid ph.eur.20 mg) cream on my glans penis?

: I doubt that this is a bacterial infection for which fucidin ointment is used.  If you've recently indulged in risky unprotected sexual intercourse with an unknown partner herpes is a possibility. Other possibilities include a yeast infection which can be transmitted to &amp; from sexual partners or an irritation from condom,vaginal cream or simply trauma. Fucidin could be tried but get examined also

my 6yr son has a red line - rash-like running from the base of the penis by the scrotum to the tip of the penis (uncircumcised) - may i try fucidin h?

Need diagnosis: Fucidin h is an antifungal cream & contains hydrocortisone. We don't know if this is a fungal rash. Would advise taking son to his pediatrician or family dr. To diagnose because description of a "red line" is insufficient to make a diagnosis. Or you could send a photo via email for us to evaluate.

doctor gave me fucidin 2% cream for 2 weeks for my penis. i have a red lesion/spot, just to the right of my urethra mainly but also slightly to the left of it . im seeing no difference 1 week in, what is this likely to be? never been sexually active?

F/u with MD: You should go back to see your dermatologist- or whoever doctor gave you the medicine and have further examination.  You have both genital wart and candidiasis, and as you know  the anti fungal infection will not help the wart- so follow up obviously would need to be done.

i am circum sized and went to a dermatologist as i have possibly dermatitis and he prescribed me travacort ? how long is it safe for me to apply it on penis glans and area without any side effects ? also he prescribed me fucidin cream for 15 days?

: It is safe- for as long as your doc wants you to use it.

a month back i had a skin irritation & infection on penis glans, doc prescribed a cream fucidin h, to be applied directly on the glans, an antibiotic tablet cefix 400mg. 3rd week on medicine, slow improvement. doc say to circumcise. please advice?

: Without  more information, it is hard to know what he is treating, although it does sound as if he is on the right track.
If the foreskin can easily be fully retracted, then a circumcision is optional. However, if it is tight and does not retract, I agree that a circimcision is required.

Antibiotic Cream: They are two different chemicals that are antibacterial.

Accepted Answer

No: Fucidin cream is a topical antibiotic that treats numerous topical (except for pseudomonal) infections. It contains sodium fusidate. As far as I am aware, it does not contain zinc.
