Shave in the direction of the hair – not against it. Be gentle when shaving – don’t push down too hard.

Keep clean: If you weren't sick and there are no open sores and this is first time probably razor burn. Keep clean with soap and water and after you shave clean very good with soap and water.  Tiny nicks get into skin, allowing bacteria to enter the follicle right where your underwear is, use a clean razor, use a little alcohol over the area after, good luck.
