They don't: House dust mites, although related to the spider, do not bite.  If something is biting you, look for bed bugs or fleas.  The usual treatment is application of a cortisone cream, a prescription one if necessary.

They often show up on the hands between the fingers. They are itchy and may be worse at night. There really is not any good treatment otc. Should get seen by a doctor to know for sure. Many skin conditions can look similar.

Sure, but....: It won't hurt anything, but it won't do much.  Taking benedryl is better.  Ice, topical anesthetics and calalmine lotion on the bite itself can also help.

Many ways: If you do nothing, they go away, but itch in the meantime.   To control the itch, there are many over the counter itch creams are available including Hydrocortisone  (which i don't think works very well) and non-steroid containing medicated creams like gold bond lotion (which i personally like much better).   There is also benadryl, (diphenhydramine) which works nicely taken orally, but may cause sedation.

Insect bites: It sounds like you have post-inflammatory changes where your bites were.  That should fade, but it can take even months in some cases.
