is hyperaerated lungs treatable?

Kind of...: "hyperaeration" or "hyperinflation" is sometimes used to describe the chest xrays of patients with obstuctive lung disease like COPD or severe asthma.  The "hyperaeration" itself isn't treated, but the underlying condition that causes it usually can be depending on what disease it is.  Generally, this is copd, the symptoms of which are treatable with a variety of inhaled and even oral medications.

All are treatable: The common lung diseases in children are pneumonia, bronchitis, and asthma. Croup is a viral illness that involves the area of the airway around and just below the vocal cords, the subglottic space. It's not really a lung disease but it is a lower airway disease and quite common. Outside the us tuberculosis is a common treatable pediatric lung disease.

No: It is evidence of a prior infection. In other words, it's a scar. It is not serious and does not require treatment. When it is not calcified, we follow them with repeat ct scans over 2 years.

Accepted Answer

Difficult.: It is treatable, but the cure rates are difficult once thyroid cancer has spread to the lungs. If this is not a hypothetical question for you or someone you know, there is limited data that a tyrosine kinase inhibitor may be helpful; it would at least be worth inquiring with your physician for their thoughts on the subject.

i just had my xray done and the impression was: hyperaerated lungs: r/o bilataral pulmonary emphysema. is this treatable? i am not a smoker.

Depend on your age: it is really depend on your age,and the other circumstances that gut you to have this condition.
this is a chronic condition,treatment for the symptoms,and to prevent it from making it worst.
the question is why you have it if you are not a smoker,is it a second hand smoking if you have somebody in the house that smoke.
is it environmental from work or regular local pollution.
follow your doctor.

80 yrs old diagnosed with non small lung cancer (local), developed pneumonia after the first  carboplatin gemcitabine treatment. is it treatable?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Antibiotics are usually very successful to treat  many pneumonias. Patients with lung cancer may be more complex to treat or may require longer treatment especially if the cancer blocks the airways  which are needed to clear the pneumonia.

under the chest area, my skin is flake/scale like dry skin. a straight line from left side to right side for the last 6 years. what is this? treatable

Rash: sounds like intertrgio.  it can be treated with creams.  better see your physician in person to be sure.

good day i have a dry cough and my chest feels irritated (kind of like a burning sensation). i am able to breathe fine and do not hear of any sights of wheezing. what might be causing this? also, if it anything treatable, what would you recommend?

: Suspect heat where you live or just common cold. If latter a tincture of time is best “treatment “

: It all depends on the degree and progression, any symptoms and co-morbidities eg Diabetes. So your surgeon will be the best person to treat you. From your description it does not seem to be very dangerous- and treat able. Hope you do well
