im a 28 yr old black female. i get boils on my inner thighs every now and then . how do i prevent boils. how do i treat boils without popping them?

Hidradenitis suppura: Hidradenitis is a common condition of sweat glands inflammation followed by infection ... Due the blocked up secretions especially is areas of repeated friction with accumulation of moisture. No treatment will completely cure it and you will get recurrent glare up's we sometimes treat with prolonged antibiotics in low dose to prevent superimposed infections.

Abscess: It is quite possible that you have developed another abscess. Return to your doctor for further evaluation.

Residual infection: The hard, leathery, often darkened skin @ the site of a boil is residual inflammation from the skin infection. The skin should soften over time, but cd leave a scar. I wd say at this point, it's normal. But watch for fevers, more drainage, or worsening symptoms that may mean the infection (boil) is coming back. Also get checked for MRSA &amp; diabetes (which predispose to boils) if this is not 1st one

i had  ingrown hair between my labia and the inner fold of my leg that turned into a boil. it burst and drained. now there is a hole there. how should i treat it? should i put neoporin in it or will it heal on it's own. have you ever heard of this?

It : It is not uncommon for boils to burst and drain. This can be curative in some cases. Putting neosporin on the affected are is not a bad idea. If the area is still tender and red and not starting to close after a few days of keeping it clean and putting neosporin on it, then you may need oral antibiotics. However before then if you have fever or the wound looks infected (red, hot, more pus) then you need to see a medical professional right away for treatment.

See a dermatologist: Certain treatments might be useful. Possibly doxycycline or minocycline. Possibly steroid injections into lesions. Possible hidradenitis suppuritiva.
