Treat symptoms: Use tylenol for fever, headache or body aches.
Use a netti pot or nasal rinses with water or saline for congestion.
Use non-prescription antihistamines and/or steroid nasal spray for congestion.
Honey, lime and whisky in hot water for sore throat.
It should pass in 5-10 days if it's a virus.

There R a few: Issues.  Have u been having this issue for 6 years?  How did u burn sinuses? I would see an ear nose and throat specialist but as a principle, nasal steroids would decrease inflammation, wash over eustachion tubes that drain into the back of the thrat and maybe help to drain the inner ear that mat be affecting balance.Drainage into scalp doesn't occur. Do you grind teeth at night or have insomnia?

Strep is possible: While strep is possible this could also be a virus.  Specifically either hand, foot and mouth disease or gingivostomatitis.  Both are caused by viruses. I would suggest you have him examined to better clarify what is going on.
