Try alcohol: Benzalkonium chloride is an aqueous  solution that might get inside your electric razor and cause some damage.  Take off the head, clean off the hair and debris with a cotton tip applicator and use 70 or 91 percent alcohol to clean the parts that contact your skin.  Allow to dry and you should be back in sterile business with shaving.

hi doctors. i got a haircut today, and apparently the clippers on the electric razor were too sharp and caused some redness...no bleeding, but red and i can still feel it after 6 hours. how can i treat it? is the redness serious?

SHOULD HEAL OK: Should be fine you can put some ointment on there to soothe like perhaps hydrocortisone form over the counter. Just do not use hair products that can irritate it. Its basically a razor burn.

Folliculitis: Electric razors used under the arms can pull too much and give some people ingrown hair and infected follicles. Use some neosporin (or see your doctor if they are still active) as they can become an infection with bacteria. I would try another hair removal method at the moment.
