Itchy scalp: I've found that aveeno (oatmeal) makes great products for eczema. The key is to use hypoallergenic products with minimal alcohol. Try to find products which are colorless and without perfume.

can i put cetaphil baby lotion my 1yr-old son's skin that has hfmd? we use aveeno shampoo and wash and i noticed without putting lotion, his skin is drying

Yes, you can: Any mild moisturizer would be fine--will not interact with  HFMD

my 11week old daughter accidentally spilled the dipper with water and cetaphil baby shampoo/soap on it to her face and i think she ingested those thru her nose and mouth. should i take her to the hospital? im really sorry i dont know what to do?

Possible ingestion: I am assuming that she did not ingest so much that it has impacted her ability to breathing. If she is breathing comfortably she should not need to go to the hospital. Although some cetaphil products contain parabens it would take a significant amount to be harmful. In the future, if you are worried about ingestion call poison control immediately - don't rely on a general health information forum.

i accidentally used shampoo (head and shoulders) on my scrotum, thinking it was moisturizer. i left it on overnight and woke up burning. does not appear to be blistering but is very painful. im obviously not wanting to see a doctor lol. burn creams?

: irritant dermatitis....can try aveeno oatmeal baths. it's an otc product available in most pharmacies. If not better in day or 2, would see dermatologist for dx and tx.

i have dandruft and sobberic dermatitis. bought nezoral last week. what is the shampp that i can use daily? and is there a moisturizer cream to help?

Ketoconazole: The generic, ketoconazole, is the same as Nizoral, only cheaper. Can wash with it every day, including face. Moisturizer does not help seborrheic dermatitis. If this is not satisfactory a dermatologist will help you.

Acne: Cetaphil is used as a cleanser for acne prone skin but it is not effective at treating acne. Topical prescription medications used to treat acne include: epiduo, atralin, ziana, acanya and others.

Physiogel: In my experience my patients responded better to physiogel because it was a more hydrating cleanser and moisturizer. I would still recommend that you try both out at different times on a small area of your eczema to see which one works best for you.

Very safe: this is a non toxic lotion that should be safe to use during pregnancy. That being said, topical medications only get absorbed by about 10% and so the majority of topical agents are fine to use during pregnancy.good luck with your dry skin.

Highly unlikely: First it is very difficult to medicine to penetrate the skin barrier especially when the contact is as brief as that from a cleansing bar.   2nd if it has any hint of causing cancer, either the government or the manufacturer would have taken it off the market.
