A lot!: For a cardiologist, an EKG can give information about the rate, the rhythm, whether there are signs of a congenital abnormality, signs of a heart attach or blocked artery, the thickness of the heart muscle, previous heart attack, and more.  In experienced hands, an EKG can tell an incredible amount of information.

Computers err: The automatic computer reading of an ekg is pretty good but it very often makes mistakes which can even be major mistakes in diagnosis. Therefore the computer read must be manually confirmed or corrected by a cardiologist before the report is finalized and official. Before that point, it will say "unconfirmed" on the ekg itself.

Early repolarization: Early repolarization is a pattern seen on an electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG.) It may be more common in young men, especially black men. There is a lot of medical literature on whether it is associated with increased risk of arrhythmias. For example see http://bit.ly/2jXxNuS which reports long term follow up of a large cohort. Whether you should worry depends on the details of your history.

Usually benign: Incomplete right bundle branch block. Electrical signals for heart pass down wiring divided into r and l bundles. Rbbb = delay in the signal passing to right side of heart - "normal" in 1/200 patients.  Incomplete is more common. Prevalence increases with age. Rbb associated with underlying heart disease signals worse outcome, but if isolated finding has no significance.

Check again: I've been reading EKGs for &gt;30 years, but I'm not familiar with "ladp".  The closest I can think of are lahb (left anterior hemiblock) or lafb (left anterior fasicular block). There is LAD (left axis deviation). Please recheck your mom's report and let us know.

No: No. I would not trust the accuracy of a 1 lead EKG except for rate and regularity of heart rhythm. If concerns.... see a physician and have a 12 lead EKG performed

what does repolarization mean for an ecg reading?

Electrical-recharge: The automatic pace maker on the top of your heart generate tiny amout of electricity which travels down the heart and trigger it to contract/beat. This electrical current comes from the influx/outflux of calcium/potassium etc..So, when it is "polarized" the heart pumps. In order for it to pump again, it must relax and repolarization is basically a recharge. Hope that makes sense. Have fun learning.

Many things: including nothing.  Depends on the pattern of the depression (up-sloping or down-sloping) and the exact amount of the depression in millimeters.  The doctor who ordered the ECG is in the best position to interpret it.  It can be a normal variant, or it can be evidence of a lack of blood flow (ischemia) in that part of the heart. Also depends on your cardiac history. Call your doctor to explain.
