Computers err: The automatic computer reading of an ekg is pretty good but it very often makes mistakes which can even be major mistakes in diagnosis. Therefore the computer read must be manually confirmed or corrected by a cardiologist before the report is finalized and official. Before that point, it will say "unconfirmed" on the ekg itself.

Unconfirmed report: An unconfirmed computerized report means that a licensed physician has not reviewed the study and signed off/confirmed the accuracy of the study and its interpretation.
