America is beyond...: Fortunately, America is beyond that (that was before modern medicine and before getting rid of laws against inducing miscarriage). Any woman who needs to induce a miscarriage (easier to say abortion), such as if her early fetus has a genetic defect or other severe birth defect, can get help from her Ob-Gyn doctor. The doctor has good, reliable ways to do this ("natural" is not in the picture).

Increasing pain not relieved by pain medications, and increasing bleeding -- particularly if there is lightheadedness or dizziness -- should be evaluated by the doctor following a miscarriage.

In the U.S., women are free to ask their doctors about the options, including baby adoption. Just ask.
