Kyphosis: Most often, kyphosis only worsens as time goes on... due to gravity and the aging process of 'drying-up' of the discs. The anterior part of the spine gets shorter and the body leans more forward. Good posture and active strengthening of the posterior (back) muslces can keep you more upright... Really changing the kyphosis angle is almost impossible without surgery though...

This type of pain is: very aggravating. It is very likely musculoskeletal coming from a strain of the paralumbar supporting muscles .... but it could be referred pain from the kidneys, spleen, or even some irritation of the peritoneal lining of the abdomen near the stomach. After several days, it is time for evaluation...an history and exam by your provider with some lab tests and possible imaging. Good wishes:)

2nd opinion?: But in general, being bedridden for a long time is unhealthy.  The more you move your body, the better it is for your health and body.
