Sometimes: Blisters are not uncommon but if they open, you may want to discuss treatment with your physician to minimize scarring.

Sometimes: It is possible there was alot of ink in that area and that is why you got a blister -apply vaseline or aquaphor twice a day till it heals and hopefully you will not get a scar.

Ointment: It sounds like you may have some mild burns from the hair removal laser.  Any cracks or blisters should be covered with antibiotic ointment and kept clean.  Avoid any sun exposure until you are cleared by your treating physician to reduce any damage.  The face usually recovers very quickly from this type of treatment.

i had spider vein removal a month ago. the laser burned my legs and caused blisters on both. i was assured they are superficial and will heal. my legs look horrible. how long does it usually take to heal? is it normal to blister and bruise this long?

: Do you have any underlying medical condition? It is unusual to have blisters after one month of Laser procedure and infection needs to be ruled out. Did you have a follow up with the doctor who did the procedure and when was the last time?

Sometimes effective: Tatoo removal with a laser may be very effective. It may take a few sessions. It isn't always 100% effective. It depends on the original tatoo colors and the depth of pigment placement.

Several things: The ink absorbs the laser energy and breaks down and also the laser sets up an inflammation which can carry away some of the ink.  All inks are different and some more resistant to this type of removal    good luck.

Macrophages: When a laser is use to reduce the appearance of tattoo's they break up the pigment into smaller particles. You body then has macrophages - think of them as biologic "packmen" that gobble up the particles.

even with modern laser removal, does tattoo ink ever leave the body? could accumulation in lymph nodes cause health issues?

Yes and maybe: Ist question The tattoo ink is vaporized and most the ink is gone. There may be some residual and some ink is very hard to remove. If the pt has had poorly done inking and  a lot of tattoo in may get in the lymph nodes. I am not aware of significant disease in this regard. See your dermatologist or plastic surgeon for adequate treatment.

i got a home made tattoo 9 weeks ago & it looks a bit wrinkly & you can feel the lining. i plan on laser removal in a year. will i be scarred after?

Laser tattoo removal: There is a reasonable risk for scarring with laser tattoo removal although the lasers have gotten very good in the last few years. The best approach for laser tattoo removal is "slow & low"... Low energy settings on the laser over several treatments (can take 8-12 treatments for some tattoos). Orange, yellow, red colors are more difficult - as is darker skin. Good idea to wait at least one year.

Varies: The standard is about $100 per sq inch of solid ink for the first 5 inches then it goes down to about $75. The cost varies with difficulty , the colors in the tattoo the lasers required for removal can be costly to operate. A good figure is a credit card size tattoo that is black will cost about $3000 by the time you are done with all the treatments.
