Give It Time: I'm assuming you're asking about a minor viral respiratory illness, like the common cold, etc. There are many such viruses and there is nothing we can do, once you are infected, to directly attack the virus itself. There are medications to improve symptoms, like fever, aches, etc. But antibiotics have no effect (unless you also have a bacterial infection too). Body will heal by itself most times.

Cold virus: The only way to get rid of a cold virus is to let it run it's course.  You can try to treat symptoms.  You can try breathing in hot steam from a shower or water heated in a microwave.  It is recommended to do it for at least 20 minutes.  This may shorten the duration as the heat may help kill the virus.  Fevers are also helpful in killing the virus as it is your body's way of fighting infection.

Cold viruses: There are no medications that work directly against the viruses that cause 'colds'. Therefore, you have to rely on your own body to rid itself of the infection. Obviously if you do the right things - sleep 8 hrs a night, eat properly, rest, avoid stress then you're giving the full resources of your body to clearing it. Everyone's a little different, but hope you could recover in a couple days.

They don't: Most antviral drugs suppress replication of viruses without actually killing them. Examples include herpesviruses and hiv.  Hiv therapy stops the virus from infecting new cells, but viral dna is still present in resting CD4 cells, and could create new virus if medications were stopped. That's why we can't yet cure hiv.

There is a vaccine for hpv and it is recommended that young women and young men talk to their doctor about it. Our immune system can develop ways to keep the virus from reinfecting us as badly in future exposures.

Don't smoke: HPV DNA may persist indefinitely, but it isn't known how often this happens. Active infection usually is controlled by the immune system within a year or two, does not recur, and the virus cannot be transmitted. So for practical purposes, it is cured. There are no medications, diets, or anything else known to improve clearance. Smoking may delay clearance or increase risk of future problems.

If : If you are referring to scabies (which is not a virus but a mite) you can try an over the counter Permethrin cream as directed. All sick contacts should be treated as well. In addition wash all bedding, clothes, etc. In very hot water.
