Still Possible: There is a slight risk of becoming pregnant after tubal ligation. This happens to about 5 out of 1, 000 women after 1 year. After a total of 5 years following tubal ligation, about 13 out of 1, 000 women will have become pregnant.

No: It is not possible to restore your fertility with medications or home remedies.  You will require infertility treatment or surgical reversal of the tubal sterilzation in order to have a chance of conceiving.

Theoretically: Never, but it has been known to happen once in a very rare blue moon usually a longer time ago when tubes really were tied. Now a portion is taken out and the ends totally sealed so they can not find their way back to each other not like the older surgical method of just snipping where the ends sometimes remet . Now only if the doc made a huge mistake could you get pregnant.

A dying art: Tubal reanastomosis is a dying art.  The lab procedures of ivf have improved so much that a tubal reanastomosis is not often performed.  Check with an rei on the options.

Reversal: Tubal ligation reversal is possible but has its own inherent benefits and risks. Please speak with your OB about your desire and concerns.
