Yes: Burning pain after exercise is common.  It usually goes away after the muscles strengthen.

It can. : 'muscle burn' occurs when you exercise strenuously enough to build muscle, and peaks at 24-72 hrs. It is caused by micro- tears in the muscle itself, which leads to the muscle to rebuild. If it lasts for 5 days, it means these micro-tears in your upper back are too overstretched and you will need to avoid mm strengthening exercise for about a week. Do light activities.Restart then every 2-3 days.

Common: What you describe is common after exercise.  Especially if the muscles are chronically overstretched.  As you strengthen these muscles, often this can take several weeks to months you should see a decrease in the burning sensation.  If it does not subside, then maybe have the sports med doc look into a nerve impingement as a source of this burning sensation.

Multiple symptoms: You need to have a complete physical exam by a GP.  With so many symptoms, there are many possible causes. You should best rest at home and then see a primary health provider for full evaluation when safe to go the office or cliniic.

Stretch: Before exercising.  This is really important as it will help increase your strength as well as decrease injury.  Get a loved one to give you a massage or get a professional one on a regular basis.

Should resolve: Most flares of back pain resolve within a few weeks. Nsaids, heat/ice, stretching, chiro or pt treatments are all indicated.  Xrays should be considered if there is concern for osteoporosis (post-menopausal, steroid medication history, thin, white, smoker) and if you are very tender over the spinal bones. Otherwise, imaging only needed if you develop sciatica or other neurological issue.

Muscle strain: Muscle strain may be treated with rest, then with medications such as acetaminophen, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories including aspirin.  These things get beter with time but can be very painful initially.

Ice,stretch,NSAID: I suggest stretching the muscles (look for child pose position online, it's a yoga position that helps open up the lower back muscles), also use ice and heat, 10 min ice, 10 min heat over the area. If your kidney and liver function is normal, you can also use over the counter anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen (advil/motrin) and aleve (naproxen). Natural muscle relaxants are magnesium and serrapeptase.
