how do you drain lymph nodes in neck?

No help needed: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.

Nodes: Under the skin . They mainly drain the scalp but can become enlarged with systemic illness.

Accepted Answer

Tattoo: Laser will not affect the ink already in your system or collected by the lymph nodes, but what is the concern? Lymph nodes are filters for infections and foreign substances. I'm not sure what your concern is? The LASER tatoo removal only makes the tattoo less visible. The more important concern is the potential for Hepatitis or HIV through the potential needle contamination. Thats the perspective.

No: Could be lipomas also- if they bother you, see a dermatologist or orthopedic doc- lymph nodes are not common by the shoulder blades but lipoma are

performing radical prostatectomy and extended lymph nodes removal pelvic drain contain 600cc/24 of lymphatic fluid on 8th day post op what is the usual amount of drain lymphatic output to safely remove it , are there measures to reduce this fluid?

Lymphocele: The usual amount of liquid through the drain should gradually decrease, it is best to wait until it drains an amount less than 20cc in 24 hours, otherwise other measures will have to be done to decrease the liquid output, as an introduction through the drain  of some chemical agents

i have a fever blister and swollen lymph nodes and just don't feel good,  is that pretty normal with a fever blister?  just feel drained.

Not really...: Ususally there's no lymph node swelling or systemic symptoms ("feel drained") in recurrent oral herpes (fever blister, cold sore). But outbreaks often are triggered by infections that cause these symptoms. Probably that's what's going on. A brand new herpes infection could do this, but unlikely with only a single sore and no new exposure. See doctor if symptoms severe or last more than 3-4 days.

swollen ing lymph node with off and on pain in inner thigh-going down. does this mean it's draining or more lymph nodes swollen down thigh?

See doctor: If you have unexplained lymph node enlargement without improvement for more than a couple of weeks , you should consult your doctor re. the cause.

Lymph nodes: You need to see a doc to rule out blood disorder or infections. It is not normal to have persistent palpable lymph nodes.

Neck masses: Other than lymph nodes in neck are commonly thyroid nodules, branchial cleft cysts, lipomas.  If you can feel these masses in your neck, have your doctor order a ct or mri.  Ultrasound is particularly good at telling whether a mass is solid or cystic, not hard or soft.
