Depends: It kind of depends on why you feel the way you do ... Take a look at what exactly is making you feel threatened or upset  and try to examine the sequence of events and feelings objectively.  Sometimes, just taking her to the appointment and waiting for her - can put both of you at ease.  Hope that helps!

Maybe more than that: You &amp; he may be trying to deal with much more than simple ADHD which typically shouldn't cause  uncharacteristic anger/moodiness in anyone. That's likely something else. He may have anger dyscontrol issues. If he's a veteran coming home from the war there could be things such as PTSD &amp; ANXIETY at work. Try to find a moment when he's at the lowest emotional level &amp; gently test the waters.
