Yes: I appreciate your strength in crash dieting, but plans for permanent lifestyle change are even more helpful. The fatty liver seen in nutritional deficiency is well-known and this may be why your liver enzymes spiked. Or they may have been high all along from obesity or from some other cause worth finding.

Yes: The liver enzymes can be raised by large amounts of aspartame. Try to limit your amount- you don't want an inflamed liver

fibrosure results- done bc elevated liver enzymes. mild steatosis, borderline, probable nash, 0 fibrosis- is this serious? i barely drink and am over weight.. will losing weight and healthy diet reverse this? im 38y/o bmi 33. enzymes ok now?

: Losing weight is imperative and you should avoid alcohol entirely. Avoid taking acetaminophen. Mild steatosis per se is not serious and is reversible through weight loss.

Temporarily yes: But you are likely to get a damaged liver if you start drinking again.

Minimal: You should consider an alternate or non-alcoholic beverage.  There is no hard-fast number as every persons metabolism is different and there are other factors to consider such as weight and medications and what period of time. Alcohol is a toxin the liver must process to rid your body of it.

i had a virus in march and had slightly elevated liver enzymes. now in july my alt has increased to 100. the dr doesnt seemed that concerned but i am. how long after a virus can it take for them to come back down? also can the elevate while healing?

: I don't consider that level much of an elevation. I would re-test in 3 months and barring a new flu or other systemic virus it should drift down into a lower zone.
