More not better: Scar tissue builds after every surgery.
Scar can cause some of the pain but usually traction of the nerve which is scarred in place is the culprit during movement.  Removing scar doesn't typically help- first rule of surgery is "scar begets scar"- meaning that more surgery only causes more scar.  See your spine surgeon or get another opinion and even get an evaluation from a pain specialist.

No: Scars are usually" numb"  to start with. .It has not become numb suddenly, but you have just noticed it.Over a period of time some feeling will come back.Different scar will have different type of feeling if one looks at it critically.

Time: Legs are notorious for making dark scars and take years to go away. Sun protection is the best thing to prevent them from getting worse. Just be patient, they will improve with time.

Scar treatment: Depending on the problem with the scar there are treatments to improve them but nothing will completely remove them. I treat pigmented scars with bbl to lighten them, thick scars with fractional laser to soften them, or bad or wide scars with surgery to cut out the scar and re-sew it a more cosmetically pleasing way. The laser approach requires a series of treatments to be effective--often 5-6.

Improve not remove: With various interventions such as scar treatment with silicone gels, sunscreen, avoidance of tobacco use, peel, bleaching agents, microdermabrasion, dermabrasion, laser or ipl treatments, and many more options.

See dermatologist: It looks like you have been getting repeated skin infection and now have scars on that spots .Consult your doctor and get properly treated .The black marks may fade away after sometime .If scars persist ,then get opinion of plastic surgeon .
