Get yourself checked: If the nosebleeds were serious, you may have lost enough blood to make you tired. You need to have your blood count checked. Also, headaches and nosebleeds are sometimes signs of high blood pressure. Or may be signs of sinus problems, which goes with asthma. Get yourself some otc ocean spray until you see the doctor.

Very common: Usually from allergies, picking on the nose, blowing nose too hard, constant rubbing etc. As long as there are no associated signs and symptoms like bruising , prolonged bleeding , cuts slow to heal, petechia or getting tired easily and he is healthy, then just treat the allergy. If + for above, need to see doctor to run test  to rule out blood disorders.

If you have nose bleeds a lot, you should see an otolaryngology specialist for a thorough exam and identification (and treatment) of the cause(s).

Variable: Could be recurrent habit i.e. Nose picking , or fragile blood vessels on the mucosa , or could be problems with blood itself ( bleeders) etc. Start by avoiding the bad habit, then go to see pmd or ENT to have further discussion and evaluation.  If needed, your primary care doctor can refer you to see a hematologist if your doctor thinks you may be a bleeder.
