Sprain?: Violent coughing can sprain your ribs but rarely rib fracture can occur.   If the pain fails to improve or gets worse in the next week, you need to check with your doctor.  In the meanwhile, try heating or ice pad at the painful area and see if it helps.

Be seen: With your history of alcohol abuse your pain could be due to pancreatitis.  Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas and can cause the symptoms you describe.  It also cause nausea and vomiting.  Another cause of your pain could be gastritis or peptic ulcer.  I suggest being seen for a diagnosis and treatment.

PUD?: Are you eating regularly? Your stomach   contents are acidic and if not neutralized by food will cause abdominal pain and ulceration. Try taking antacid or have an  upper GI series  for dx.

prob muscle strain: Tennis can be a strenous activity. It is often associated with quick and sharp movements which can be associated with muscle strains. The symptoms you are describing could be secondary to a muscle strain that occurred with your sudden movement. Rest, ice and nsaids (non-steroidal antiinflammatory medications) such as Ibuprofen or Motrin if you are able to take them will be most beneficial.

i have strong pain on both sides of my back, just below the ribs.scale 1-10, a 9 for pain. very painful if i take a deep breath.?

Usually muscular: Talk to your dr about possibility of kidney infection.
If you're coughing, you may need a chest xray.
Have a urine test.
Take tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for now.
Apply warm packs.

Back strain: It's hard to give you right diagnosis based on no physical exam and limited historical data. It can be a muscle sprain but can be as bad as ruptured aorta. If you are feeling worse, go to er if it's been for a while and better, like you said, put some heat, topical rubs, gentle massage and see your doc.

See a doctor: If it is severe and you are also nauseated, you should contact your primary doctor or even consider urgent care center or er. Many things can cause pain in that area. Constipation may be one of your symptoms, but it is not likely to be the cause.

during last 2 days from time to time i can feel colic in the left side under the rib and also flactulate. it's not strong. stool is ok.should i worry?

Need more history: Have you travelled recently to places with poor water sanitation? Or been eating outside foods a lot? If not, I would let the symptoms of upset stomach run their course for a week or so. If still remains symptomatic, would recommend that you get yourself checked out for a better assessment. Feel good!

Pain med: If you need strong pan medication to get a tattoo - i would suggiest that do do not get the tattoo.
