Seriously ill: Sepsis for a day would make a person very sick not necessarilyy dead or near dead. If you have fever higher than 101, go to the hospital ER.

Not likely/depends,,: This isnt likely to be sepsis, at least not yet, but it depends on when it started and when it came back.  If it was a few weeks between that episode and your symptoms now, it is likely to be just another viral illness.  If it was right before, it is likely to be a super-imposed bacterial infection that could lead to sepsis.  it would be good to see your doctor to get checked out to be sure.

Yes: Sepsis does not usually elevate the white count so much. You need to get checked for a leukemia or lymphoproliferative disorder. C diff infection also tends to cause very high white cell counts. Good luck!

Sepsis: Very variable.  Depends upon the organism producing the sepsis, the therapy chosen and its timing and many other factors.  Have seen patients die within hours of admission to hospital and others who linger for lengthy time periods.

Unsure: You don't say how long ago your sepsis episode was, but sepsis is a serious assault to the system.  It taxes your immune system.  It can take a long time to rebound from that.  It doesn't surprise me that you have increased vulnerability to colds, etc.  Concentrate on maximizing your health with good nutrition, adequate sleep, and regular exercise.

Need to clarify: Are you experiencing gas leaks or is there gas/ diesel in your soil? You didn't tell us what the test was for or what the results were. There is not enough information for us to answer your  question.

Pneumonia: I know this won't be the answer you want, but I don't know nearly enough to be able to tell you when you can return to work. It's best you ask the doctor who took care of you in the hospital.

can i get sepsis from a perianal abscess? i have a lot drainage and have felt ill all weekend, i had it lanced 5mo ago. can i wait til tomrw to go in?

Maybe: If you have no fever, and you can tolerate sitting in a chair, you can probably manage till tomorrow. But you probably should make sure somebody examines you tomorrow.
