Prevention: You may possess migraines, but other problems may be present, and it is best to be examined, and possibly have imaging of the brain.  Frequent headaches, >15/month are termed "chronic daily headaches", and can be due to constant pain med ingestion.  Drugs to break up these patterns include depakote, topamax, (topiramate) propranalol, and otc items such as riboflavin, co-q-10, feverfew, and butterbur.

Be seen: Make an appointment with your doctor. Really painful headaches can be helped with a good history and physical to determine triggers and root cause. Acupuncture, chinese medicine, homeopathy, chiropractic can all be very helpful in improving headaches. You do not have to live with them! there is a cause so begin looking for it! important to make sure you are not at risk for stroke from them.

There: Has been a recently approved medication to prevent these kind of headaches in teens. See your doc forhelp. If you know you are going to get a headache or start to get one take3 aleves (naproxen) or 3 excedrines  as soon as you can.  It hopefully will stop it quickly.

Need more info but:: All headaches are painful (some more than others) and headaches are very common, so it's not clear what you are asking or why. 
Most people take an OTC pain medicine like ibuprofen (Advil) and usually after a good nite's sleep it is gone. If the headache is really severe or persists more than a day or 2 it might be wise to see a doctor.

See MD: First, you need a diagnosis.  Start with primary md, who can then refer you to appropriate specialist.  Identify and avoid known triggers. Mediations and rigger avoidance can help.  Be sure to include a neurologist and a dentist in the list of referrals you consider.  A bad bite is a common finding in th development of the muscular aim associated with migraine headaches.

Head aches: The blood flow that normally is sent to your brain may be decreased as it is also being used to supply the vital organs as you become dehydrated. When the brain does not get it required nutrients through an adequate, well hydrated host, it will suffer and tell you by causing a head ache at times.
