Not a cure: You need to shampoo regularly to keep dandruff under control. Any shampoo will do but you need to wash your scalp every day.

Either way: Washing every day will help.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

i use selsun blue anti-dandruff shampoo with 1% selenium sulfide. i got some in my eyes, washed it out as best i could. still burns? will i go blind?

Won't blind you: It'll heal itself. You're almost a grown man and need to get fears that you must surely recognize as unrealistic under control. You list "anxiety" as a problem -- this would be a great time talk with a therapist or counselor about why you have such fears as this and what you can do to be happier as life goes on.

It depends: I have had some patients with mild dandruff help out after 1 use.  Other with more significant dandruff get response in a few weeks.

Yes: Selsun blue is specially formulated to treat dandruff. Just make sure you put it on first thing in the shower and let it sit on your scalp for 5 minutes. And use it at least three times per week for it to be fully effective.

Usualy 1-2 weeks: Dandruff (seborheic dermatitis) will usually clear with selsun blue in 1-2 weeks if the case is mild.  Sometimes it is more severe and will require more aggressive treatment.  See your doctor or a dermatologist if the selsun blue is not helping after a couple weeks.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW OFTEN YOU SHAMPOO BUT I WOULD GUESS THAT IT IS NOT TOO OFTEN.
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU SHAMPOO DAILY -- YES, DAILY -- FOR THE NEXT WEEK AND THEN AFTER THAT, CUT IT DOWN TO THREE TIMES A WEEK.
TRY AN OVER-THE-COUNTER TAR SHAMPOO.
IF IT'S NOT BETTER PLEASE SEE A DERMATOLOGIST.

No shampoo: You can treat dandruff with shampoo, but unfortunately there is no way to treat hair loss that way.
