Ultrasound: What did your doctors recommend? Some stones easily pass but others do not and can result in complications (pain, infection, bleeding, etc). If your doctors advised ultrasound treatment (also known as shock wave lithotripsy) you should do it. It's pretty easy, with low risk of side effects. Or see a urologist. Yes you will : 2mm stone most likely you will pass with out any intervention , some times you will have severe pain , along with  small amount of blood in the urine , then you will be fine.

Tamsulosin: generally medication is cleared from the system and for half-lives.  with a half-life of 15 hours that means tamsulosin should be cleared from your system within three days

A few things: The likelyhood of passing a stone depends on certain factors. Larger stones and those higher up in the ureter are less likely to pass. Some medicines like tamsulosin or Nifedipine may help and analgesia is often important. Staying hydrated is usually recommended although overdoing this with an obstructing stone could cause problems. It's important to follow up to assure that the stone has passed.

Poss Urgent Care app: You may consider a visit to an urgent care office so they can check for blood in your urine to further bolster the diagnosis of renal stone. Also they should give you a strainer so you can catch the bugger if it passes. A urinalysis would also help exclude infection.
 They may give you more powerful pain control meds.
Keep drinking fluids.
