No: The average 500 mg capsule of cod liver oil contains approximately 1000 IU of Vitamin A and 225 IU of Vitamin D. The acute toxic dose of Vitamin A for an average adult is &gt;660,000 units of Vitamin A, which would be 600 capsules of cod liver oil. Acute toxicity of Vitamin D in adults is generally a non-issue as it would take a massive overdose to cause acute symptoms.

Scar Treatment: Vitamins a, c, and e do help the skin but topical kelocote and Mederma are more effective.  The most effective therapy for scars is the laser.

Early pregnancy: Your body will tell you when. Until 14 weeks, your uterus is in your pelvis and protected by the bones of your pelvis. Soon your clothing will become uncomfortable and you will welcome the change to maternity clothes. Taking more than the recommended dose of vitamins, prenatal or otherwise, is not recommended.

Fatty fish also contains vitamin D and one makes it with sun exposure, which should be limited.
