Self image: The simple answer is - you really shouldn't care that other people care. Just be yourself. The more important question is - what's going on that makes you feel you need to hide your body? Please look within yourself or get help from outside to discover what you need to do to build your self-confidence.

Varicose Veins: Sometimes during or after pregnancy, the veins can become distended due to increase blood volume and hormonal changes that occur.  Unfortunately, I am not aware of any non-invasive treatments for them.  Depending on size and location, sclerosis of the vessels can be done (scarring them down with chemicals or laser light).  Speak with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

can the butrans patch be worn in the groin area and be as effective as in the recommended area of the upper body? trying to hide patch wo shirt on.

Accepted Answer

Perhaps, but: The location over the upper arm, upper chest, or upper back is based on vascularity, and resultant absorption, where the medicine is better absorbed higher up.  Theoretically, it still will cross transdermally, but effect may be blunted if placed in groin area.

i am getting stubborn fat on my face especially in my cheek areas which are expanded enough to hide my ears from front view while my lower body is slim. my height is about 5'11 and my weight is 70. dont know what to do? please help me in this regard?

: Is this a familial tendency?  Are you otherwise healthy?  Certain hormonal disorders like Cushing's syndrome come to mind. A cosmetic surgeon could evaluate and advise you about whether you should see an endocrinologist for a workup as a thin body and a chubby face would be an unusual combination.   If not he/she can list various interventions like diet ,lifestyle changes, facial exercise programs

Need more info: It's really hard  to make a dermatological diagnosis without seeing it. What you describes is a little strange and I would advise you to consult with a dermatologist to make a diagnosis.

i am an active individual .
my stomach is bloated even thou i have hardly any body fat on rest of my body i have strong arms and legs with good muscles .. i can squeeze in my stomach easily and it hides but when i release its all bloating?

Genetic? Bowels?: I would wonder if others in your family have a similar body structure?  There could be a genetic factor. Do you have regular bowel movements? Or any Constipation issues?  
   Doing some core strengthening exercises to strengthen lower abdominal &amp; lower back muscles might help.  Definitely ask your Dr next time you see him/her

i have a lump on the right side of my neck. i have lost 11 pounds since november 28th and i itch all over i also have psoriasis. but usually i do not itch and i am not breaking out. this is just itching all over the body.

do you experience discharge in the middle of treatment for gonorrhea and chlamydia? i just finished azithromycin and cipro and i'm now having discharge but before i actually did not have discharge. is this meds clearing the body?

A few reasons: It could be the infections but antibiotics can also make you susceptible to getting a yeast infection.  Mention it to the treating doctor - Also if you were treated but your partner was not, one can be easily reinfected

Few things: There are some vitamins or minerals that can prevent iron absorption. Such as calcium can decrease iron absorption while vitamin c can increase iron absorption from plants. Vegetarians can have decreased iron because our bodies dont absorb their iron as well. Antacids or medications for peptic ulcers which usually contain calcium can also decrease iron absorption. See your physician for monitoring.

Hard to say : The position sensors of the body are located within the specialized semicircular organ of the ear nerve. The things that alter its function include infection, usually by viruses &amp; as a side effect of drugs. If this is interfering with your activities I would seek medical attention to sort out the problem.
