Pain now ? Go to ED.: If you have a + pregnancy test and you are having pain, you should get an ultrasound to see if the fetus is actually in the uterus (where it's supposed to be), or someplace else (usually the fallopian tubes, but could be anywhere outside the uterus).   If it's not in the uterus, but it is in a tube, you could become very sick from life-threatening bleeding.  Please go to an ED or OB clinic for us.

Yes: If an abortion is performed under safe conditions, the likelihood that it will interfere with your ability to have a healthy pregnancy in the future is extremely small.  There are possible complications, including infection that may lead to scarring of the fallopian tubes. You should make sure that you are well aware of the risks before making any decisions. Discuss these  with your doctor.

Have in mind that sometimes pregnancy hormones levels do not drop to zero inmediately and patients might think they are pregnant again  (if they do a pregnancy test within the first few weeks after an abortion)  when in reality its just that the hormones have not regressed to normal levels or zero.

Depends on fetal age: It depends on your gestational age, that is how many weeks you are. You can't ask for n abortion after 24 weeks of being  pregnant. Most women will usually seek an abortion after finding out that they are pregnant which bis usually between 6 to 10 weeks. It is up to your provider on whether to treat you medically or surgically.

Abortion?: A medical abortion can be performed in general through the 12th week of pregnancy. It is illegal in some states beyond that time.  An ultrasound will provide an accurate measure in weeks of the pregnancy. Consult your healthcare provider for a referral, since many physicians for personal reasons do not perform them. Call Planned Parenthood for a referral if your physician is not able to help.
