Not sure : Interesting association you have found. I'm not sure how the garlic is helping. Can you eat cheese ? Yogurt ? Without garlic?  If not , just try lactaid (100%) milk without garlic and see result.

No evidence of harm: I researched this on many different sites and could not find any evidence at all that garlic is harmful to developing babies. Many sites said it's fine to eat garlic in moderation but excess garlic should be avoided, but the only reason presented was that too much garlic close to delivery might thin your blood and reduce blood clotting, so cut back close to delivery. Wait: Just wait it out, and it will heal. Give it a week or two. Keep your mouth rinsed out with water as much as possible - especially after eating. If worse, see your primary care for an exam.  Hope this helps!

Listen to your body: It is healthy to wake up with a good appetite. Maybe the garlic is upsetting your GI tract.  Stop for a few days and see if appetite returns. Maybe a lesser amount would not have this effect or cooked garlic would be tolerated.
