: Gilbert syndrome is a metabolic disorder caused by a defective gene leading to slow processing of bilirubin, the breakdown product of red blood cells. It triggers a rise in the bilirubin level of the patient with variable symptoms. What you mean by narrow bile ducts is not clear. This could have variable effect based on how much it limits bile excretion. Minimal narrowing=minimal effect.

Complications, such as infection can occur which can cause pain, fever, etc. Occasionally, very mild decrease in diameter can be normal variant, which may not give you symptom.

Depends: On cause of stenosis. Benign versus malignant lesion. If  plastic stents fail, sometimes a metallic stent with or without fabric covering could be placed. Some will require surgical bypass or repair. Your gastroenterologist  and surgeon and interventional radiologist will need to come up with a treatment plan.

Depends: Your bile ducts can become enlarged from stones or tumors or scarring. See gastroenterologist. Mrcp can image the ducts. Gi doc may do ercp. See radiologyinfo.Org for mrcp info.
