Unlikely: It is possible that this could happen but very unlikely. In most women it takes months or even up to a year for the cycles to become regular after being on the depo shot.

Regular periods: When regular monthly periods happen, without being on any form of hormones, then ovulation is most likely happening each month. If trying for a baby, start figuring out when the fertile days are for each month. Ovulation happens around 14 days before the first day of the next period.

Unknown: When you stop any hormonal birth control, the next period or ovulation is unpredictable.  If you want to get pregnant, then you could consider doing some home ovulation predictor kits.  Also anyone attempting pregnancy should be on a prenatal vitamin.
If you do not want to get pregnant, there is no "rhythm" method in the first few months after stopping Depo.  Use another birth control instead!

Likely: Your references to time are vague &amp; the answer is time sensitive. Depo suppresses egg release as long as your body recognizes the the extra hormone in in your system. If you skip a scheduled dose&amp; that suppression is lost, you should assume your body resets to its normal function. Missing a by  a few days might not, but a delay eventually would.

Probably so: It can take up to a year for menstrual cycles to become regular again after coming off of depotprovera. Once cycles are regular, this can be taken as a sign that regular ovulations have commenced.

Yes: The repo injection will stop the ovaries from ovulating - that is how it prevents pregnancy.  The injection is usually working after a week of your first injection.

Med eval: Please advise your physician if you have been bleeding for 13  months. That is not normal & can lead to anemia.

Weeks: Many OBGYNS suggest you use a backup form of contraception (condoms etc.) for 3-4 wks if this was your first dose. It likely is effective earlier but the overlap is a safe precaution. If this is an on time followup dose it maintains the existing protection immediately.

No jump start: Unfortunately, there is no way to jump-start a woman's menstrual cycle and ovulations, after she comes off of Depot Provera. It can take up to a year for cycles to beoome regular again.

Yes: Yes however it can take a long time for some women to return their ovulation to normal after depo. If you are not having regular menses i would see your doctor and have an evaluation for the exact cause.
