It Depends: Your best answer is for you to ask your surgeon what it typical for his patients.  There are many variables, how healthy and fit you are, how routine or not routine your surgery is.  Each operation like this is going to have the normal range of human variation.  An exceptional patient could have surgery in the early morning and go home later that same day. Some might have to stay 2, 3, or 4 days.

Yes you do: You need to have your GP recheck your kidney function before restarting certain diabetic and hypertension medications that can worsen renal insufficiency if AKI has not resolved.  Drink plenty of water in the meantime.  Avoid Aspirin / NSAIDs.

Walking, limit drugs: Particularly if you had an abdominal hysterectomy, your GI tract could be in a " state of shock"  which shuts down normal peristalsis.  This is called an ileus.  Without peristalsis, intestinal contents ferment, producing gas which can't move down and out.  Percocet also slows peristalsis down.  Regularly walking around and limiting use of Percocet will help with the gas.  "This too shall pass."

i am going to be having an abdominal total hysterectomy due to endometriosis. what can i expect as far as hospital stay and recovery?

2-4 days in hospital: If possible consider a second opinion. If in fact a hysterectomy is needed at this time, look to a minimally invasive procedure such as laparoscopic or robotic. The visualization is better, the ability to remove endometriosis implants improved,  and with smaller, less painful scars you can often be discharge on the same day or the next day after surgery.  Recovery is typically 6 weeks vs 1-2 weeks.

had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. engaged in gentle anal sex with zero pain anywhere. pain has now progressively gotten worse over a few hrs with no bleeding anywhere. should i go to the hospital due to my stupid choice or just rest?

: See the physician who performed the hysterectomy, for guidance.  In the time frame mentioned, there is still significant inflammation due to the surgical procedure, so pain is generally still present with any kind of activity, including that described.
