Variable,  often 1mo: Its really dependent on how high the pregnancy hormone level rose prior to the abortion. I would expect about a month but have seen two months as well. If still positive after two months, i might consider getting a numerical test and correlating with ultrasound.

Varies : This is going to vary from person to person. If you had unprotected sex again than this could be a new pregnancy. You will have to get a blood test done and then repeat it to see if it is rising or falling to prove which is true.

TOP: Follow up with the doctor who performed the termination. It is possible to miss the POC when performing a termination early on. An ultrasound cna be done to confirm.

Prob ok: Unless you had sex without condoms or birth control after your abortion then the pregnancy test is still detecting left over hormone from the previous pregnancy. Recheck it once and week until it resolves. Start birth control to prevent another unplanned pregnancy.

Abortion: Not necessarily but You need to see the doctor and get an ultrasound as well as a quantitative beta hcg blood draw to further evaluate.  Sometimes depending on how far along you were at time of abortion,  it can take a longer time for beta hcg to be cleared.

Not likely: Even if you had become pregnant on May 15, it would be too soon for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test on May 21. The "positive" test may be from residual chorionic from your abortion. It would be prudent to consult your doctor for care.

Maybe: A miscarriage is technically called a spontaneous abortion.  If you had a miscarriage, then yes, this is an abortion.  Sometimes women have bleeding during pregnancy and it's normal - you may still be pregnant.  It's best to see a doctor and get checked to find out if you are still pregnant.
