Quit smoking: Breastfeeding smokers have decreased milk production & set stage for a higher risk of crib death. During the exposed periods the child will have 2 or more times the respiratory and ear infections.

Good and bad: The breast milk is doing your baby so much good! She is getting antibodies to protect from infection and special fatty acids that help her brain grow!   BUT, your question I believe refers to the damage from cigarette smoke.  You are doing lots of damage to yourself AND your baby ( whether your breastfeed or not) by continuing to smoke.  You know cutting back then quitting is the right thing to do

Limited data: The effectsof breast feeding by marijuana users is not conclusive.  Small amounts of metabolites are excreted available to the baby. Since marijuana metabolites are stored in fat, the duration of the availability in the breast milk is relatively unknown.  If you were prescribed marijuana, the prescribing physician may have better answers for you.  Otherwise, it's likely not worth the risk to smoke

THC and breast milk: It's very hard to answer you specifically, because thc is stored in your body fat.  The breast and breast milk are highly made of fat, so your baby will receive thc through you.  The length of time thc remains detectible in your system depends on how frequently you use this substance -- the longest being 90 days or 3 months.  I don't know any physicians who recommend exposing an infant to this.

3 to 6 months: Marijuana and its' active chemical THC hangs around in the body and can be tested for via the human hair for past use. THC has been known to cause genetic changes in any pregnancy. The REAL question should be is this "gentleman" potentially good father material given his propensity for unhealthy behaviors.

Hello. : Hello. Although i prescribe a lot of wellbutrin (bupropion), (bupropion) i can't provide you with a definitive answer.  I know that many people get nausea or feel jittery if they are using very much of a  stimulating substance (like coffee) with wellbutrin (bupropion).. As a result, my patients normally ween down on their coffee levels before even starting wellbutrin (bupropion).  Because cigarettes are filled with stimulants, i would reason that they could cause a similar problem.  There can sometimes be increases in blood pressure with wellbutrin (bupropion), (bupropion) especially when used with nicotine replacement. I recommend that you talk to the provider who is prescribing your wellbutrin (bupropion) and that your blood pressure be monitored take care.
