Facial age spots: I am not sure if you are using otc creams or physician prescribed ones. I would consult with a local cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist so that the best topical and /or office treatment combination can be prescribed for you. Options abound, from peels, microdermabrasion, fractional resurfacing, ipl and hydrafacial among others.

Sun avoidance: I am sorry to hear about your facial spots.I don't believe any over the counter cream would treat your brown spots.I first advise you stay away from the sun and use a good sunscreen as a preventive measure.  My mother had this issue and she just started to avoid direct sun light and use a sunscreen with good results.  I would advise you speak to the dermatologist who did the zap treatment for help

Wash or cream: I would suggest trying a wash and/or cream with benzoyl peroxide as it is easy (at least here) to obtain and tends to work fairly well. If not, salicylic acid works as well but not quite as well for more significant acne. If these don't work, I would suggest a visit with your doctor for prescription options such as a topical retinoid . Good luck!

No crush treatment: thank u for your question.  It would be nice to see a picture, but these black spots could be increase pigment as result of betnovate or healing tissues. There are many options yet.  Stop using betnovate and see dermatologist.  There are pills and creams that could help with further pimples.  Do not crush them yourselves.

Variable: It takes some time, usually 4-6 weeks to see a noticeable difference, it it is going to work! Other options are available.

Need exam to tell: Unfortunately, rashes, lesions, spots, etc can not really be diagnosed over the computer.  Some spots for example may need more than just a cream to get rid of them.  See a skin dr. To get diagnosed and treated.  Good luck!

Depends: need to know exactly what the "spots" are clinically. Although often these lesions can be traeted by certain creams or ablative devices such as lasers, it would be a good idea to know the correct dx. see dermatologist for evaluation.
