Short time for 1 use: If it was a single use 12 days ago, it is unlikely that the test will be positive, and usually is negative within 72 hours. However, if you were a regular smoker, thc metabolites are soluble in fat, and tests (both urine and saliva) can remain positive for weeks and even months. If it was occasional use (once a week or less), it will most likely be negative. Am concerned about your risking ur job!

Saliva: 1-10 days: With a single use of marijuana, thc can be detected in saliva for 1-10 days.  Hair can last longest lasting of all:  up to 90-120 days.  Urine is the fluid usually tested, though.  With a single use, thc is detectable in urine for 5-8 days.

Yes but: Only if you swallow three gallons of his/her saliva.  Short answer is no. While these tests can detect very, very tiny amounts of drugs, the lower you set the bar, the more false positives you have. So cannabis is usually set at 50 ng/ml for a positive, and it is not possible to reach that amount through second-hand exposure to smoke (or saliva).

Questionable: it depends on how much you have been smoking.  Saliva tests are reasonably new the standard is urine and it may take 4 to 6 weeks to clear ant the only way to clear it is time.
