Anti-inflammatories: In my experience, they are about equal, and it is probably patient specific. Some will do better with one medicine, while others not. Indomethacin is often used for gout. Please be careful of stomach problems and your kidney function.

off mobic till it was inactive. back on after 5 days off. 4 days on start to feel better again. inflammation got bad when i was off. will this increase in inflammation during that time carry through as getting sore easier than normal for a few weeks?

NSAIDs: both ibuprofen and meloxicam (Mobic) are Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs. They do the same but aren't the same drug, and are not equipotent, meaning you need different dosages from either to have the same effect, consult your doctor or your pharmacist, good luck

i take losartan 50mg 1/day for bp. is there a problem taking meloxicam 7.5mg 1/day for shoulder inflammation?

Not really: Although there are few drug interactions between Mobic (meloxicam) and losartan it is very common practice to prescribe both medications simultaneously.  If you experience any side effects contact your pcp immediately and express your health questions or concerns.

All NSAIDS: Celebrex and acroxia are more similar since they are cox-2 inhibitors.  Mobic (meloxicam) can also block cox-2 at low dose.  Ultimately they are all the same.

TOO MUCH: Hard to answer but to you took way to much. To high-dose can cause problems but i can't tell you how long the inflammation will last.   Part of this may depend on how much permanent damage you did to the tissue. Your physician should be able to answer the questions.

Indefinitely: He will probably need to be on an anti-inflammatory for pain control unless he is a candidate for hyalruonic acid injections or knee replacement.

dr ordered esr today checking for inflammation and suspecting possibility of polymyalgia rheumatica.  i have testerone pellets with arimedex implanted in my hip every 3 months and take mobic 15mg/day, could this change the test results?

ESR: Can be elevated for any inflammatory process and it is very none specific. However when combined with other test and your symptoms may be helpful in  establishing  a diagnosis and monitoring response to treatment
