But if contrast is needed, be sure to tell te MRI techs and doctor what you experienced before. If you had an allergic reaction, they will want to be prepared - and possibly medicate you in advance to keep you safe.

You will then enter the scanning room, lie flat on your back, and be moved into the scanner aperture.  You will need to stay very still for the next 20 minutes.   Then it's over!
