i used monistat 1 (tioconazole) the night before last and i woke up this morning still having itchiness and burning. is is okay to use another one?

It takes 5to7Days: It takes anywhere from  7 days to take full affect.If not start feeling better in couple of days.Then it is better to see your Doctor or Gynecologist as it may be resitant to monistat or it is something else
Even though the resistance to Miconazole which is in Monistat is less common but still possible.
Using another one will not help

Vaginal cream- 5 days
Vafinal suppositories- 3 days.

No problem: Efficacy of Plan B should not be affected by monistat.

No problem: This will not harm either of you although it might get a little messy during sexual activity.  Consider douching prior to meeting with him.

i took monistat 1 pretty sure the over night egg one and now i have bleeding. my menstrual cycle isnt until the very end of the month but i dont know if this could have made it start sooner or if the bleeding is from the monistat?

: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

If not controlled: May try taking non-sedating antihistamine up to 3 x daily (more than the recommended dose) plus Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at bedtime. If the problem persists beyond 2 days, it is unlikely to be from Monistat 1 . If not controlled by antihistamine, then consider seeing an allergist. If the problem lasts &gt;6 weeks despite control with antihistamine, an allergy consult may be considered as well.

hi i believe i have a vaginal yeast infection that has spread to my rectum. i went and got monistat 1 and was wondering do i need to get two and insert one into the vagina and the other into the rectum?

: There are few if any data on effectiveness of vaginal azoles in the rectum. A better approach would be single dose oral fluconazole (Diflucan®), which would be effective at both sites.

Monistat 1 (tioconazole): You may have some improvement on symptoms on day 1 of Monistat 1– if none by day 3 tell your physician (in case you have a different type of infection).  Usually have robust relief w/in 7 days.

U should start to : Feel better by the next day, but u can have a resistent yeast infection, there are 4 types and the most common type albicans which comprises 80% of all yeast infections should be senitive but the 3 other types  can be resistent so u would need another type of med.
