Tramadol: Unlikely for it to prevent sleeping other than up to 25% of patients receive a sedating side effect while taking Tramadol, so in its absence it may be harder to sleep for 5-6 days

Tramadol: Not particularly known for dependence issues. Good pain reliever not to be used if patient has history of seizures. Known for constipation.

Depends: Withdrawal symptoms from opioids or opioid like medications are usually flu like.  Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills.  These are temporary but can be unpleasant but rarely deadly.  Seek medical care if the symptoms are not manageable.

Yes: It is safe to take tramadol and a NSAID at the same time although i would alternate each medication through out the day.

Tramadol: The maximum daily dose of tramadol is 300mg.  Do be cautious, however,  tramadol is officially not considered to be addictive, but my own experience with it in patients has lead me to believe that it can be.

Tramadol: That sure raises red flags.  Tramadol is now one of the leading prescription medications that leads to needing treatment for addiction.  This conversation should be happening with the physician managing your pain. 

There is nothing to be ashamed about if there is a problem with over use or obsession about the medication. This happens to good people.

: Both of the medications on rare occurrence can cause hallucinations. Therefore, taking the two together may have an increased risk of hallucinations. However, there is also a very good chance you will be just fine. If you are worried, continue and finish the clarithromycin and take something different for pain while taking it.

Melatonin: There is no contraindication or caution noted of melatonin in those on tramadol or with sickle cell. Melatonin is actually a natural body hormone involved in the day-night rhythms of sleep and wake cycles.
