Dried sperm are dead: Wouldn't think any scientists are spending their hours picking through hundreds of guys' precum mucus to count the number of live and dead sperm. Researchers have more pressing issues to work on. So, as always, fertile couples having sexual activities can sometimes get pregnant. Peeing washes sperm out of a penis. Remember the saying, "The only things guaranteed in life are 'death and taxes.'"

Most studies have shown low levels of sperm or no sperm in pre-ejaculate with sperm not being motile (however, don't know how promptly samples were examined).
