Yes it is possible: Usually a viral infection stay in the body around a week. But plenty of viruses stay longer than that. They may stay upto two weeks and in some circumstances some viruses like hepatitis B or C can be a life long infection.

Sometimes its the weakness that persists longer than viruses themselves. If you are feeling otherwise better, then give it a week more and then see your doctor again. Good luck

Up to 5 days,: But other factors (cough, weakness, dehydration) are more important than height or duration of the fever.

Not in general.: One week after a scleral buckle procedure you should not in general be experiencing fevers from the procedure. It is more than likely unrelated and coincidental from another cause such as some other form of systemic infection or viral syndrome. It would be very rare to experience an infected scleral buckle so quickly after the intervention.

: The mild fever may not be related to Covid. You could have another intercurrent viral infection, like a common cold. If the fever persist beyond a couple of days, it would be prudent to see your doctor. You may take paracetamol for fever, no more than 4 g in a day, no alcohol.

Fever: A temperature of 99-99.5 is not considered a fever. A fever is usually defined as a temperature of 100.4 or above.

You may need to: get back to the healthcare provider that treated you initially if the fever is increasing back up or persistent.  Sometimes fever can occur due to a viral infection that the antibiotics (which are used to treat bacterial infections) cannot touch.  Or it may be a sign that the original bacterial infection is resistant to the antibiotic that you are taking.

Yes: Yes, this is within the normal range. It's not a low grade fever. In general, temperatures below 100 are of no concern.

Fever: 99 F is not fever. Fever is described as a body temperature which fails to reach as low as 98.6 F or exceeds 100 F in 24 hrs. Your body temp varies from very low early in the AM to highest in the evening, a reversal of your cortisol levels which also have diurnal variance. Why is anybody subjecting you to expensive and potentially harmful assessments for this? Stop now and do not worry about this.

Allergies: Seasonal patterns sounds more like a seasonal allergy rather than a "yearly" and "seasonal" infection. I do not like the fever part of the equation unless you are simply feeling hot and assuming you have a fever which could be a side effect of a revved up immune system reacting to the pollens to which you are allergic.

Fever: It is not normal to have nightly fevers.  Given your history of lung disease, skin infections, and bone grafting it is important to see your doctor right away to determine the source of your fever.
