Depends : Multiple attacks by bees will likely be more painful since the stings are repetitive.  If you  get stung at very sensitive areas of the body, it will hurt terribly and you may even die from it.
A broken leg may hurt a lot at the time of the breakage, but if you can splint it correctly, the 
pain will decrease or cease.
Neither is a good choice for this weekend's outing.

Connection not likely : Hives 1 1/2 wks after having been stung by a bee are probably not from the sting but rather a reaction to some food eaten, medication being taken, a soap or shampoo or other substance to which you have been exposed, or even a reaction to a bacterial or viral infection.  Antihistamine is often helpful along with cool compresses. If not better in few days, suggest evaluation by your primary care provider.

i got stung by a honey bee on arm 2 days ago. the area i got stung is like a big hive about three inches wide. is this a normal or serious reaction?

Bee sting: This is normal and you can apply a topical steroid such as Hydrocortisone on the area to decrease the swelling and the itching.

wife just got stung by a bee, her fist time ever. 45 mins ago. found a hive in our house. if she was allergic, would it have already shown? is allergic anaphylaxis still a possibility through out the night while she sleeps, or tomorrow?

: Any serious allergy to bee sting would manifest in minutes. You do not need to worry about something happening during sleep.

See an allergist: If it truly was his very first bee sting, it is very unlikely he is allergic--the immune system needs to see something at least once before it can generate an allergic reaction. Your allergist can perform testing to determine if he is actually allergic to stings. If so, he will not likely outgrow it. But, allergy shots can help prevent anaphylaxis. Talk with an allergist about your concerns.

Pollen, mold: Pollen &amp; mold are the most likely causes of your allergies. There are other possibilities such as  dust mites, pet dander and foods. I suggest a visit to a medical clinic with a request for a referral to an allergist in order to help determine the cause of your allergies.

is there treatment to build immunity to bee stings?  a few years ago i broke out in hives all over my body after a sting.  i carry an epipen (epinephrine).

Not really: There is no good, permantly effective desensitization.  Keep the Epipen (epinephrine) handy and teach a friend/significant other how to use it.
