Byetta: Half life for the regular Byetta is 2.4 hr so it gets out of your system in about 10-12 hrs.  Side effects would be high blood sugar if you don't substitute it with another antidiabetic agent.

Phentermine: Adipex has a half life of about 24 hours.  It takes five half-lives to hit "steady state", and the same time to clear the medication.  That means about three days.  Many patients develop a tolerance quickly and the side effects - and effectiveness- where's off.  On average in about two months.   Many people get insomnia and dry mouth taking adipex.  Those should where off before tolerance develops

Generally a med is cleared from the system within 10 half-live, thus about 10 hours. Other meds may prolong its presence in the body; so side effects may last longer. Depending on what side effects U R having, U may need to seek medical help quickly (swollen throat

1/2 life 6 hours: The half life is short, 3-6 hrs.  It should be largely cleared 1-2 days.

Half life: The half life of clindamycin is about 3 hours. So in 6 hours its is eliminated.
Side effects go away once the drug is stopped. If you have c.diff a diarrhea side effect you need to check in with the doctor again for stool c and s and possible new antibiotic treatment.  C.diff diarrhea smells bad and is frequency yellowish in color.  Other side effects should resolve with stopping the antibiotic

No: Medrol (methylprednisolone) is a steroid .  It has a half life of 18-26 hours and should be out of your system after that time after completing your course.

Nothing to do: Etoricoxib (Arcoxia) is fairly long lasting, which is why it needs to be taken only once a day. It is entirely gone from the system in a few days after the last dose, certainly within a week. Nothing can be done to speed it up. Any symptoms beyond a week or so probably are not due to the drug.

I usually: tell my patients to allow a full 24 hours for an ADVERSE side effect to leave...sometimes longer if there was an ALERGIC  reaction...

Radioactive Dyes or: 'tracers' are special dyes usually given through an IV as part of a nuclear medicine study.  Tracers contain a small amount of a radioactive isotope that decays naturally over time and is eliminated in the urine and stool.   Most nuclear med procedures are painless except for mild discomfort associated with the iv.  Allergic reactions to tracers are rare. Inform the tech if you could be pregnant.
